The G-Mag Shifter was developed with the aim to improve Logitech's paddle shifters feeling when changing gears, giving it a more mechanical feel. Knowing of the overcrowded market the G-Mag Shifter introduces new innovations that separate itself from all other options.
Zero Flex
In order to achieve the mechanical shifting feel it's important for the shifter to be as rigid as possible. With that in mind, the G-Mag Shifter has been given three fins, per side, on it's back to counteract the moment of shifting gears while being able to keep it's mass at a minimum.
Magnets
In opposite of the common practice, the G-Mag Shifter uses 5 small (6 mm of diameter) magnets per side, instead of a single bigger one. The use of smaller magnets gives them the opportunity to be placed further away from the axis of rotation resulting in a higher shifting force. In order to maximize the magnetic force, the magnets have been placed at an angle so that they are parallel to the paddle shifter extracting all their magnetic force.
Throw Reducers
Aiming to fix one of the biggest problem from the original Logitech paddle shifters, it's long throw, Ready2Sim has developed the innovative throw reducers. They press fit on the Logitech paddle shifter and shorten it's throw by more than 50%, allowing the magnets to be more predominant and vastly improving the overall shifting experience.
Installation
The G-Mag Shifter has been given threaded inserts with the purpose of making the installation as easy as possible, requiring only the tightening of two screws. It doesn't require the disassembly of the wheel, but if you have any questions follow the instruction in our installation guide video.
